s u m m e r ' s . e n d

autumn is truly with us. the fire has been lit these past few evenings and the nights are drawing in. i do like the change of seasons especially welcoming the snuggly days, curled up under a blanket when it's chucking it down outside. things start to slow down a bit. 
i found some snaps of some foraging fun taken only a few weeks back. so much fruit was picked and right on our doorstep!
plum jam, sloe gin, crumbles and chutneys have been made.
i can't wait for the sloe gin to be ready, even though i wont be allowed much of it. still, i can enjoy a few cheeky sips over the festive period.
the husband made some plum jam which is just scrummy on hot toast..mmm..
